Fire Product Search attended the Emergency Services Show 2016 on the 21st and 22nd of September this year.
The show was held in Birmingham and attracted a record number of 6,151 visitors. This represents the ninth consecutive year-on-year increase in visitor numbers and a ten per cent increase on last year’s attendance record.
The Fire Product Search team had a great time at this event, meeting a lot of interesting people within the industry and acquiring a lot of new contacts.
Also acquiring invaluable information to help us better understand the industry. There were a huge variety of exhibitors at the show, from training, products and seminars.
Fire Product Search got to hear from some of the senior figures from the fire, police and ambulance services and got to hear some of their experiences from co-responding to incidents. Also hearing about the expansion of blue light services into preventative and social care were among hot topics at this year’s event which was extremely interesting and thought provoking.
We were able to see some of the new revolutionary products that are available and experience the latest emergency services technology and operational equipment from the leading suppliers in the emergency services sector. Some of the products we saw were defibrillators, drones, communications technology and body worn cameras which are helping to improve the effectiveness of the emergency services against a background of reducing budgets and increasing demand.
One of the most interesting and eye catching product launches was Terberg Fire & Rescue’s Telstar (Terberg Emergency Life-saving Support Tactical Ancillary Rescue) multi-service vehicle or “Fire Ambulance”.
In the end there was truly too much to get through in one day with numerous indoor stands, demonstrations and explanations and very extensive outdoor area.
Over £30,000 has been donated to local good causes following the record-breaking success of the 2014 Emergency Services Show.
ESS 2017 promises to have more visitors and exhibitors full details of the Emergency Services Show 2017 can be found on the Fire Product Search website.
